Begun in 2006 with Phases 1 & 2 completed in 2009, our new 200,000 square-foot complex made up of seven buildings has already become a home for our talented young women and men, and will continue to serve as a creative incubator for generations of future SCA students. The Grand Prize Winner in 2011 of the Los Angeles Architectural Awards is a stunning set of buildings comprising of classrooms, theatres, editing suites, sound stages, post production, equipment facilities and offices.
Fall of 2011 begins the construction of the School's Phase III building for "New Media" .The building will serve as the new home for the Interactive Media Division, which will include the Game Innovation Lab, as well as the Institute for Multimedia Literacy and the Interdivisional Media Arts and Practice Ph.D. program or iMAP.

George Lucas and Steven Spielberg Buildings
The Cinematic Arts Complex, completed in 2010, is comprised of seven main buildings, totaling 200,000 square feet. The George Lucas and Steven Spielberg buildings rise above a sweeping courtyard named in honor of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which partnered with the university in 1929 to begin the USC cinema program.

Media Arts and Student Services Building
Adjacent to the Lucas and Spielberg Buildings is the Media Arts and Student Services Building, with a screening room, mixing rooms, extensive sound production studio space, and numerous classrooms. In addition, the complex includes the Production Services Building, which houses an equipment center, scenery and prop shops, hair and makeup facilities, along with screening rooms, offices and conference areas. Finally, the complex features four industry-standard soundstages, housed in two separate buildings. These seven buildings total 200,000 square feet.
Production Services Building
On the SCA Complex Back Lot, this building houses the Production Equipment Center, the Scenery and Props shop, offices for Operations and Faciltiies Management, a workshop, a camera technology room, hair and make-up areas, wardrobe, dressing areas, a dailies screening room, a conference room and multiple offices.
Includes the Fox Stage and Stage 4, a 3,200-square-foot multi-camera stage with production and audio control rooms directly adjacent, in addition to a seating area.
Sumner M. Redstone Production Building
The Sumner M. Redstone Production Building houses two production stages (Redstone Stage 1 and Redstone Stage 2) that are used each year by approximately 1,000 students from the School's various divisions spanning film, television and new media production. The building features 2,600 square feet of production space where students collaborate while learning key production skills such as staging, lighting, directing, producing and forming and leading a crew.
The building is a state-of-the-art production facility that rivals that of the city's top film studios. It is equipped with industry standard Strand dimming systems and Mole-Richardson lighting; floor lights, grip and electrical hardware, a Production Equipment Center, wooden stage floors, sound proofing and sound proof utility doors, among many others features and resources.
Cinematic Arts Park
Adjacent to Building D is The Cinematic Arts Park, a 1/3 acre area surrounded by trees, where students can shoot exterior scenes, and relax between classes.
Interactive Media Building
The Interactive Media Building is 60,250 square foot facility. The programs it will house include the Interactive Media & Games
Division and its renowned game design program; the Media Arts + Practice Bachelor's degree and Doctoral Programs, with
cutting-edge research in new forms of storytelling, architecture and journalism; the Institute for Multimedia, with its
dedication to digital innovation for all students. The building will also house SCA's leading edge R+D labs, such as: the
Game Innovation Lab; the Mobile and Environmental Media Lab; the Mixed Reality Lab; the Center for Interactive Media
Technologies in Healthcare.
The building will be frequented and utilized by students studying in every Division at SCA and most other programs at USC, and will play host to countless visitors from across the media industries.
