Mindful USC Weekend Retreat

This retreat is only for staff, faculty, alumni of USC as well as USC students graduating this May – we will have a retreat for all other USC students in the Fall of 2018.

Join us for a weekend to practice mindfulness meditation in a beautiful natural setting on Catalina Island. The retreat will take place in in the Wrigley Center where everyone will stay in comfortable houses as shown in the photos below.

We will spend the weekend in sitting and walking meditation, with ongoing guidance and instruction from the teachers. We will also have an opportunity to practice cultivating positive emotions, mindful speaking and listening, mindful eating, and experience the depth of stillness that can come through an extended period of practice.

The retreat will begin at 11am on a Friday afternoon with a boat ride from Long Beach to Catalina and concludes after lunch on Sunday. Meals include supper on Friday; breakfast, lunch and supper on Saturday; breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

This silent retreat will be suitable for beginning or experienced students.

Register online early; space is limited. Deadline is April 15, 2018.
