Industry Relations Highlights of SCA Students & Alumni
Talent Week 2017 was a huge success! Campus was packed with students and alumni attending workshops, panels, discussions, and screenings from April 17-April 21st, 9am-10pm daily. Over 200 guest speakers shared their wisdom, stories, triumphs and failures with captive audiences. Some even participated in script workshops and pitch seminars. "With our continuously growing network of contacts in the industry, we look forward to many more events in the future," said Torrie Rosenzweig, Director of Industry Relations Events at USC, SCA. "We could not be happier with the outcome of Talent Week 2017 and already have an impressive lineup for next year unfolding. Stay tuned."
FIRST LOOK FILM FESTIVAL
The First Look Film Festival screened it's nominated films April 17-19th on campus with an awards ceremony following on Thursday April 20, 2017. The films awarded were:
The Suitcase directed by Abi Corbin - Best Drama
Iman and the Light Warriors directed by Jay Woo - Best Thriller/SciFi/Horror
Fanny Pack directed by Uttera Singh - Best Comedy
There Goes the Neighborhood directed by Angelique Molina - Best Documentary
Once Upon A Line directed by Alicja Jasina - Best Animation
The nominated and winning films were screened April 25th & 26th at UTA & WME.
