Anicca is the Pali word for impermanence, and one of the three marks of existence in the Buddhist canon. This is a piece about the arc of human experience, be it a moment, a period of time, place, relationship, or life itself, from emptiness to form and back to emptiness. The piece uses motion capture of dancers in both figurative and abstract modes to explore a sense of presence in a virtual space. Anicca won 1st Prize in the 360 Animation category of the Disney-sponsored VRSC Festival.
