Animated Spaces | Animated Bodies

Animated Spaces | Animated Bodies showcases the cutting edge of new animation platforms - including large-scale exterior projections and animation/performance hybrids created by USC's Hench-DADA faculty, students and respected guests. By showcasing a range of animated works in non-traditional platforms, USC will be recognized as a place where animation, innovation and risk-taking are fostered and celebrated.

From June 2008 to June 2009, Hench-DADA operated a temporary gallery known as USC Windows located in an unoccupied commercial space on the ground level of the historic Chapman Building, 750 S. Broadway, Downtown LA.

Annual Animation Show of Shows

The Annual Animation Show of Shows is a program of new animated short films selected from major animation festivals around the world. In 1998, Ron Diamond, former producer of The International Tournée of Animation and The Animation Celebration, recognized a noticeable lack of animated short films in the theatrical circuit. He set out to curate a collection of significant artistic and narrative shorts from those he had seen during the past year at major animation festivals.
