About SCA Complex Cam

The SCA Complex Cam is comprised of two Canon XH G1 cameras situated on the roof of USC's Webb Tower residence hall. The cameras gather 1920x1080 resolution images at 30 frames per second and feed that data via HD-SDI to two Linux servers with AJA Kona3 capture cards running Spectsoft's RaveHD software. The live images are then downsized to 500x281, converted from DPX format to Flash format, and transmitted at one frame per second for presentation on the SCA Web site. Still images are at 1280x720 and are sent to the Web site every three minutes.
