SCA Alumni Screening Series Presents: TROPIC THUNDER

 

Ben Stiller plays pampered action superstar Tugg Speedman who is cast in the biggest, most expensive war movie ever produced. He sets out to Southeast Asia with a 'Who's Who' of celebrity co-stars (including Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr). Soon after the production begins, the actors are thrown into a real-life situation and are forced to become the fighting unit they are portraying in order to find a way out of the jungle in one piece. Also starring Nick Nolte, Steve Coogan and a scene-stealing cameo by Tom Cruise. Written and directed by Ben Stiller.

Rated R for pervasive language including sexual references, violent content and drug material. Releases on Friday, August 15th, 2008.

ABOUT CHECK-IN & RESERVATIONS

This screening is presented free of charge and is open to all USC students, faculty, staff and alumni. The theater will be OVERBOOKED to ensure capacity and the RSVP list will be honored on a first-come, first-serve basis, with no reserved seating. Please bring a photo ID or print out of your reservation confirmation, which will be automatically sent to your e-mail account upon successfully making an RSVP through this website. Check-in will begin at approximately 6:15PM.

UPDATED PARKING INFORMATION -- PLEASE READ: Due to the construction on 34th St., cars will not be able to access campus parking by entering at Gate 5 (McClintock & Jefferson). Instead, we recommend that you purchase parking passes at Gate 4 (Jefferson, across the street from the Shrine Auditorium) for Parking Structure D or outdoor Lot B. Parking meters are also free on Jefferson and Hoover after 6PM.
