ABOUT FREEZER BURN

The story of a man and his cryogenic quest for love.

Virgil Stamp is a 30 year old scientist developing technology to permanently preserve human organs for transplant. However, his obsession with his work takes a toll on his marriage. Virgil' s only distraction is Emma, a 14 year old student in his wife's high school art class. His sanity hangs in the balance as he struggles to suppress his taboo attraction to the girl. Virgil decides to use his experimental technology to freeze himself in order to align his age with the young girl's, but his plan does not turn out the way he hoped...

Written and Directed by Charles Hood.

ABOUT THE GUESTS

Charles Hood (Writer/Director) was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and is therefore a Nebraska football fanatic. Before high school, his family moved to Fairfield, Connecticut, where he began making homemade movies with his friends. He graduated from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California in 2005 (and is now a USC football fanatic as well). Freezer Burn is his first film as writer/director.

Michael Consiglio (Actor/Associate Producer)
was born in Yonkers, New York to a pair of stereotypical Italians who weaned him on food, movies, and the Beatles. After moving to Fairfield, CT, he began making homemade films with a bunch of like-minded friends. He attended the University of Southern California’s cinema school and graduated with a B.A. in 2005. Currently he is acting and developing a project to hopefully direct next year. He is also praying the Yankees get their stuff together soon.

Grant Surmi (Editor) graduated from USC’s Annenberg School for Communication in 2004 and has since been working as an Online Editor for Trailer Park, one of Hollywood's largest trailer houses.  Though he has edited many short projects,  Freezer Burn is his first feature.

Jillian Demmerle (Producer)
graduated from USC with a B.A. in Comparative Literature/Film after wrapping Freezer Burn. She spent a year working at the William Morris Talent Agency in New York City. Jillian is currently working as the assistant to the director and producer on the Robert De Niro film Everybody's Fine, filming in New York and Connecticut through July.

Robert Harriell (Actor, "Virgil")
was born and raised in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas where his parents exposed him to as much art, theatre and football as possible (Go Hogs!). After high school, he traveled the country, stopping off to work the ski slopes of Colorado and the beaches of Hawaii. Though traveling was fun, he could never shake his love of acting, so after attending conservatory in the mid-west he packed up everything he owned in a two-door Honda and moved to New York. He is now an actor, writer and producer and most recently starred in BLP’s psychological thriller 9 A.M., and Timely Films’ drama, Night Falls Fast (which he also co-wrote). He lives in LA with his wife Marcy.  www.robertharriell.com
