Writer/producer John Wells (M.F.A. ‘82) was recently elected president of the Writers Guild of America, West.

Salome, by Animation alum Jan Pfenningerhas, been accepted into Indiefest in Florida.

Stranger's Poem, by Animation alum Geer DuBois, will be screened at the ANIMA - Córdoba International Animation Festival's “Themes and Rhythms" screening series in Argentina.

Osa Hidalgo de la Riva was recently invited by the Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholars Program to participate on a panel regarding GMS interest and expansion in generating creative media productions for and by GMS scholars and alumni.

David Conlon was interviewed by Tucker Carlson on Fox News on the topic, “Do You Know What Textbooks Your Children Are Really Reading?” It aired several times over this month.

Animation M.F.A. alum Ben Shalom collaborated with fellow alumnus Marc Deckter on a Prankster/Trickster Camera App for the iPhone. Shalom came up with the concept and app design while Deckter designed the character Prankimoto and his many outfits for the iPhone App. The application allows user to prank their friends using a variety of sounds and capture their reactions at the same time using the iPhone Camera. The app also boasts a variety of other dazzling prankster features. Click here for more information.
