Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2010

Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia has been officially recognized as an Academy Award® accredited festival and is the only festival that has received this prestigious recognition in Japan. The winner of their Grand Prix award is eligible to receive an Academy Award® nomination the following year.

Film submissions must not screen in Japan before the festival in June 2010. Films that have screened on the Internet still will be considered Japanese Premieres, unless they have appeared on a Japanese-language site or a site based in Japan.

Note: No Japanese premiere is required for the STOP! Global Warming Competition.

All genres of shorts are accepted, except Music Videos. Submissions must be sent on DVD with a running time of twenty-five minutes and under included closing credits. Read the 2010 Official Submission Guidelines carefully.
