Construction Update

Completion of the Stages Scheduled

The old Schoenberg Music Building has been demolished and the cement blocks are being removed so the ground can be graded in preparation for construction of the sound stages. 

On the west side of the new complex, digging continues for the lower level of the new instructional building. Completion of the stages and instructional building is scheduled for next year. 

At that time, Animation and Digital Arts will move to the building and the equipment center will be relocated to the new Production Services building adjacent to the stages. 

Meanwhile, in the new complex, signage is being designed and will soon be placed throughout to direct visitors and students.   Facilities Management director Doug Wellman also reports that there is now an agreement for the design of the West Gallery.
