Preseted three talks at the Game Developer's Conference
Assistant Professor of Interactive Media, Chris Swain, has had a busy Spring speaking schedule. He presented three talks at the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) in San Francisco in February.
Two talks were about his game The Redistricting Game and one talk was about metrics-based game design – which he did along with adjunct professor Dan Arey.
In addition, Chris co-presented a paper about USC’s game design curriculum at the Game Development in Computer Science Education (GDCSE) in early March.
Finally he spoke on a panel at the South-by-Southwest Festival (SXSW) recently entitled “Games for Change: Real World Games with Real World Impact.” Articles about the SXSW panel including quotes from Chris appeared in The Escapist Magazine and on Gamasutra.com.
