NY Metropolitan Opera

In Norris Theatre

The first of several live HD telecasts of New York’s Metropolitan Opera will be shown in the Norris Theatre on Saturday, December 15.  The opera, Romeo et Juliette, conducted by Placido Domingo, will begin at 10:00 a.m. and runs for about 3 hours, 30 minutes including one intermission.

Admission is free and the program is open to students, faculty and staff although you must RSVP here.

Over the next few months, the broadcasts will include Macbeth, Peter Grimes, La Boheme, Tristan and Isolde, and La Fille du Regiment.  This will be a unique opportunity to see one of the world’s finest opera companies in HD and 5.1 sound.
