Game Developer's Conference

Interactive Media Division assistant professor Tracy Fullerton was one of the leaders of the Education SIG Workshop at the Game Developer’s Conference last week, where she presented a case study of teaching methods for game studies and also led a workshop on developing curriculum. 

Later in the week, she was also featured on a special “vision” panel, “The Metagame,” a debate on game aesthetics with game designers Warren Spector and Mark LeBlanc.  In addition, Interactive Media Division alumni Jenova Chen and Kellee Santiago, along with the rest of the thatgamecompany team gave several presentations, including “Classroom to the Console: the Autobiography of flOw” and “Fostering an Innovative Student Game: How Cloud was Made.”
